The Ink Black Sky

No moon lit night to shed its light The ink black sky alone at night No stars no planets to lend their light. O! Lo and behold! A lone little star Looking at me Twinkling in the dark black sky Gazing at me With its bright little light Twinkling at me with its little light When all at once their numbers grew First a few, then in millions Finally bursting forth in billions The ink black sky now filled with light No longer a lonely soul at night Fills my heart with its twinkling light
