The Narrow Silver
As we watch the swaying palms
We gently glide along the banks
The children play along the river
As we pass the narrow silver
The shadows on the deep grey silver
Makes my heart aglow and quiver
Wondering if its secrets hold
Mysteries yet to man untold
A kingdom deep beneath the sand
With a marching kingly band
A mermaid waiting patiently
For her princely charming he
Gods Own Joy
With straw hats covered they work in the sun
Ready to cast their nets on the run
And as it sinks down deep in the ocean
Our heart beats faster with every motion
And as it rises the nets full of glitter
Drawing the crowds nearby with a flitter
As our boat slips quietly away
We are met by men with their ware
Loads full of fish, prawns, crabs and cray
We argue and we tussle
And with a great deal of struggle
We load our boat with a great deal of mussel
We continue along our way
All through Gods own land array
Watching the waters and the sky
Till we reached the land at nigh
Hearts bursting and filled with pride
To be a part of Gods own joy
City Lights
The city with its bright filled lights
Has always given me the frights
The hustle and bustle everywhere
The noisy crowd without a care
The taxi and the auto move
Along the road in a snaky groove
Id rather be 10000 miles
From all these city lights…
With the bustling and the noise
Of this great busy city heights
Sail Away
I wish to sail away to some distant land
So far away beyond time and sand
Just me and the great blue sky
Where the sea gulls fly oh so high
The dolphins swimming by my side
And the whales beat the gentle tide
To feel the North wind on my brow
To taste the drops of dewy snow
To sail across the seven seas
With no intention of touching shore
Raggedy Anne
My raggedy doll, she is so grand
With her patchy dress and face of tan
Her curly locks so dark and long
Her eyes so big and wide a yawn
I love my little raggedy doll
And let her sleep by me till dawn.
Shes my baby, shes my doll
Shes my little Raggedy Anne.
A helping hand
The poor in India need a helping hand
At times it seems they can hardly stand
They need to be taught to read and write
Armed with this they can begin their fight
We should encourage and
be encouraged to give our mite
With this we can end their strife
Calling all my brothers and sisters of this land
Reach out and give a helping hand
Wishful Thinking
We the citizens need a helping hand
Its the time for all to take a stand
The Aam Aadhmi the cry of nation
Who can listen to their situation?
The leader promises a shining India
How can She shine when all round is dull?
Land scams, phone scams, Is all we hear
When will this end is our foremost fear
The people who need to take action
Are busy forming coalition
It is justice that we seek
Or is it just wishful for the meek?
We are a nation formed by men
But fate has bound us to their plan
Oh when from this curse shall we all be free?
Time alone will tell we shall wait and see!
