Transported
The train was speeding past the fields
The boy inside looked out with glee
The wires were like magic lines
Moving at a pace past space and time
The trees danced in the fading sunlight
The little huts just breathing life
The children quieting for the day
As they move in blurs just speeding by
The vendor inside cried Chai, Chai
The boy turned to him with an amused smile
The vendor looked at him and winked
While the little boy just looked and blinked
The train chugged along the railway line
The darkness filling every sign
The boy was lost in wonder sublime
At once transported into distant place and time
When suddenly he woke up to find
Himself in his room so cool and fine
Where he had been all the time
